Leftist anti-Semitic

A recent L.A. Times article revealed the growing acceptance of anti-Semitism by Leftists. The gist of the piece was that someone could be anti-Semitic and yet still be a good person.

A columnist for the Los Angeles Times dismissed the accusations of anti-Semitism levied against the leaders of the Women’s March because she said they are “advancing the causes of women.”

The article’s title was revealing. “Can you admire Louis Farrakhan and still advance the cause of women? Maybe so. Life is full of contradictions.”

The nature of a logical contradiction is that statements are mutually exclusive. That is if one is true the other cannot be true.

It certainly appears that admiring a rabid anti-Semite who also supports the subjugation of women and advancing women’s causes fit the category of a contradiction. However, the Left seems to think this is just fine.

Growing Anti-Semitic Sentiments among the Left in Society

The L.A. Times piece is not a solo declaration. It reflects a growing trend toward anti-Semitism in Leftist ranks.

Leftist anti-SemitismOne sign of this is personified in Ms. Linda Sarsour. She is the most known of the Muslim apologists who specialize in also promoting feminism.

One of the recent, and more heinous, actions by Sarsour was to defraud the Jewish community in the aftermath of the terrible Pittsburgh Tree of Life Synagogue shooting in October of last year.

…anti-Semite Linda Sarsour. The anti-Israel activist seems to have been exposed for cheating the Tree of Life synagogue from money fundraised after the tragic shooting. Now, some money was given to Tree of Life, around $10,000, but that was part of an effort to repair Jewish cemetaries [sic] that were vandalized. Since the shooting, around $240,000 were raised, but it appears little, if any, has been sent to Tree of Life. Of that $240,000-figure, $155,000 went to the the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh.

Moreover, she is one of three women leaders of the Women’s March specifically accused of anti-Semitism. The others are Tamika Mallory and Carmen Perez.

A cultural movement to supposedly empower women seems to be remarkably accepting of anti-Semitic associations. According to World Israel News, Mallory and Perez began their relationship in 2016 sharing anti-Semitic beliefs.

Tamika Mallory and Carmen Perez, while getting to know one another, talked about the Jews’ “special collective responsibility as exploiters of black and brown people”

These kinds of statements mirror those of Farrakhan himself. It is also revealing neither Mallory or Perez will denounce the more inflammatory anti-Semitic sentiments from the Nation of Islam leader.

Anti-Semitism’s Growing Political Influence

2018 ushered in a new crop of legislators to Capitol Hill. Seldom, if ever, has any newcomer to the U.S. House of Representatives had a more, umm, ‘colorful’ self-introduction than Rep. Rashida Tlaib [D. MI]. Her Muslim sister Rep. Ilhan Omar [D. MN] has already generated controversy for lying in an MSNBC interview about her support of anti-Semitic efforts.

They are two of three Muslims in the new Congress. While that is a decided minority among over 500 people, it hasn’t dimmed the enthusiasm of fellow Muslim Rep. Andre Carson [D. IN].

During a speech at a welcoming event hosted by CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, he said,

It’s more than just about having three Muslims in Congress… I won’t rest until 2020 we have five more members of Congress; 2022 and 24 we have 10 more Muslims in Congress. In 2030 we may have about 30, 35 Muslims in Congress.

He went on to name the heights of Muslim ambition in the United States,

…we could be saying Speaker of the House Ilhan, Speaker of the House Rashida, Senator Rashida, Governor Ilhan, President Fatima, Vice President Aziza. Inshallah (Allah willing).

Rep. Carson’s ambitions are lofty, and out of reach according to demographic predictions at present. However, the anti-Semitism of these three is already evident.

Leftist anti-SemitismAll three of the new Muslim reps support anti-Israel efforts such as Boycott Divestment and Sanctions or BDS. It is safe to say that none will ever see any action against Israel, governmental or otherwise, that they wouldn’t embrace.

This trend of increasing political power for Muslims is just beginning in the United States. The continent of Europe has experienced this for longer and to a greater degree than anything yet on this side of the pond.

The demographic patterns of Europe present a far graver picture than the numbers in America. The willingness by leaders such as Andrea Merkel to have their countries virtually overrun by Muslim migration has created a seriously heightened anti-Semitic climate culturally and politically.

Xenophobic expressions of hatred against both Jews and Muslims have gained legitimacy with the rise of the ultra-nationalist party, Alternative for Germany (AFD), in the 2017 election. …While the AFD had previous failed to gain the five percent necessary to be represented in the Bundestag elections, experts agree Chancellor Angela Merkel’s decision to admit 1.5 million refugees in 2015-16 increased anger at home. As a result, AFD saw 92 representatives elected in the 2017 national vote and it is now the largest opposition party in the Bundestag.

The Religious Empowerment of anti-Semitism

Leftist anti-SemitismThis aspect of Leftist anti-Semitic activity is not well known. However, there is a very real connection between mainstream churches worldwide.

In fact, it is the World Council of Churches that leads the “Christian” anti-Semitic movement. The group NGO Monitor produced a report on Monday, January 14, 2019, concerning the worrisome anti-Jewish actions of the WCC.

…the Ecumenical Accompaniment Program for Palestine and Israel (EAPPI) a group …under the auspices of the World Council of Churches …has brought 1,800 volunteers to Judea and Samaria to “witness life under occupation” – something the WCC does not do in any other conflict zone.

“Life under occupation,” is not-so-secret code for a basic Jews bad, Palestinian good position by the WCC. The report continues,

By singling out Israel, EAPPI embodies anti-Semitism, as defined in the International Holocaust Remembrance Association’s working definition.

This is a specific accusation which in previous eras would have produced near-universal condemnation. Yet, the majority of readers here will have heard absolutely nothing about this on any mainstream source today.

Leftist anti-SemitismThere are two main reasons this news isn’t widely reported with shock and denouncement. One is that the church denominations comprising the WCC represent the organizational leadership which is largely theologically liberal and politically socialist.

In many cases, they are not representative of the general people in the church. This, along with other important reasons, has caused many of these denominations to lose membership in recent times.

The leftist leadership among these “churches” is more and more peddling a gospel of social justice and Leftist salvation. Thus they shrink in size as seekers of real salvation leave, while they curry influence with the social Left in a futile effort to be ‘relevant’ to the culture.

There is no expression of shock, as those who are shocked have rightly left the ranks, or soon will, or have chosen ignorance instead of action. Those who aren’t leaving have no real problem with anti-Semitism, even promulgated by their own church.

It is not roundly denounced because the WCC has sadly been solidly left-wing in belief and action as are the majority of mainstream media. The MSM has no reason to criticize this extensively, especially in light of the more radical Leftism the WCC membership has exhibited before.

The NGO Monitor report continues,

When (the 1,800) volunteers return to their home countries and churches, they engage in anti-Israel advocacy, such as BDS (boycotts, divestment, and sanctions) campaigns and comparing Israel to apartheid South Africa and Nazi Germany.

The report points out that during the trip these volunteers spend several weeks living with Palestinians and one day in Israel. They then return with the claim that this is a fair look at both sides of the conflict.

It is truly disturbing to have churches who display the label of Christ act against their Lord who was of Jewish descent himself. Anti-Semitism is non-Christian and sin, regardless of the Leftist puppet WCC’s acts and declarations.

But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep. 2 Peter 2:1-3 [ESV]
