Recently the increasingly desperate Democratic presidential candidate Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke lashed out at Christian churches and some other non-profit organizations who oppose same-sex ‘marriage.’ While appearing on CNN’s ‘town hall’ about LBGTQ+ ‘rights,’ on October 10, 2019, …His statements have received significant pushback and O’Rouke will ultimately regret his response, if he isn’t doing so already. The majority of his critics have honed in on this as an attack against religious freedom. I do not believe this is properly characterized as a threat to religious liberty.
The recent ‘impeachment inquiry’ farce has revealed the corruption of the Leftist Democrat machine to a greater degree than perhaps ever before. Moreover, in recent weeks it has also once again brought forth the darkness the Democrats matron of evil to haunt us as we head into the 2020 election year.
It is fitting that in October of 2019, the political horror of 2016, Hillary Rodham Clinton has been revived from near-death. Many doubted she would ever recover from her embarrassing thrashing at the hands of that despicable Donald Trump and his “deplorables.”
The latest example of Leftist using children for their ends starred 16-year-old Swedish social media sensation, Greta Thunberg. Her performance at the U.N. was highly emotional and generated much controversy, though it was also notable for the lack of facts, as is typical of all advocacy for the fairy tale of “man-made climate change.”
Some very recent revelations of actions within two mainstream Protestant church denominations are manifesting levels of idolatry and impurity which are unprecedented and extremely disturbing but are also unfortunately not unexpected. They are but the latest logical extensions of the philosophy the Leftchurch has been operating under for many decades.
This author has been ardently pro-life for about 40 years or so. Along the way, I have participated in some protests by marching with thousands and in others by praying alone in front of Planned Parenthood clinics, as well as helping establish Crisis Pregnancy Care centers in two communities. During this time, I have also followed the antics and proposals of the “pro-choice” crowd closely and written much about the evil nature of the “pro-choice” philosophy. Earlier this year the vile doctrine of the Left plumbed the depths of evil to the very bottom by politicians in New York and Virginia promoting killing the baby up to, and even beyond, leaving the womb.
Or so I thought. I should have known better. I actually underestimated how grotesque “pro-choice” actions can, and have become.
Those who were of the age of perhaps 8 or 9 and up could probably remember and recite where they were on the Tuesday morning of September 11, 2001, when the first plane crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York. I was considerably older at that time and I precisely recall where I was when I heard the news.
I was in my office at the First Baptist Church when I heard the unbelievable over the radio. I rushed home and spent the rest of the day in front of the television watching the horrible scenes unfold.
Lately, there have appeared some statements by certain church pastors extolling the ‘virtues’ of Socialism and claiming its endorsement in the Bible. Nor are they the only class of religious leaders who have been publicly and strongly advocating the Socialist way. Though this phenomenon has been very visible recently, it is hardly a new thing. Various portions of Christian church bodies have been enamored with and even actively practiced forms of Socialism in America more than 150 years ago.
