Some very recent revelations of actions within two mainstream Protestant church denominations are manifesting levels of idolatry and impurity which are unprecedented and extremely disturbing but are also unfortunately not unexpected. They are but the latest logical extensions of the philosophy the Leftchurch has been operating under for many decades.
This author has been ardently pro-life for about 40 years or so. Along the way, I have participated in some protests by marching with thousands and in others by praying alone in front of Planned Parenthood clinics, as well as helping establish Crisis Pregnancy Care centers in two communities. During this time, I have also followed the antics and proposals of the “pro-choice” crowd closely and written much about the evil nature of the “pro-choice” philosophy. Earlier this year the vile doctrine of the Left plumbed the depths of evil to the very bottom by politicians in New York and Virginia promoting killing the baby up to, and even beyond, leaving the womb.
Or so I thought. I should have known better. I actually underestimated how grotesque “pro-choice” actions can, and have become.
Those who were of the age of perhaps 8 or 9 and up could probably remember and recite where they were on the Tuesday morning of September 11, 2001, when the first plane crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York. I was considerably older at that time and I precisely recall where I was when I heard the news.
I was in my office at the First Baptist Church when I heard the unbelievable over the radio. I rushed home and spent the rest of the day in front of the television watching the horrible scenes unfold.
Lately, there have appeared some statements by certain church pastors extolling the ‘virtues’ of Socialism and claiming its endorsement in the Bible. Nor are they the only class of religious leaders who have been publicly and strongly advocating the Socialist way. Though this phenomenon has been very visible recently, it is hardly a new thing. Various portions of Christian church bodies have been enamored with and even actively practiced forms of Socialism in America more than 150 years ago.
It is called “The 1619 Project,” and it is a deliberate attempt to revise American history and portray America as founded upon slavery itself. It is a series of articles, a photo essay, and poems presented in the New York Times Magazine that total 100 pages. This ambitious effort carries its title because 1619 is the year when the first slaves were sold at the Jamestown colony in what would become America. This publication happens to be both 400 years later and just in time to begin maligning the nation prior to the 2020 elections.
A very revealing transcript from an internal “town hall” meeting at the New York Times was reported on in the Friday, August 16th, 2019 issue of Newsbusters online. The transcript reveals two Leftist principles combining to become a new and alarming era in the history of the Times and perhaps in mainstream journalism as well.
Last year following the mass shooting in Parkland, Florida I wrote an article about the Consitution being non-negotiable for America. The reactions from the Left to the recent shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio have prompted a more complete analysis of that subject. The last article in this journal focused more on the President’s words in the wake of those horrible events. The focus shifts here to a larger […]
